TV personality Clive Anderson takes a trip on board the Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig.
In this travelogue-style film, Clive explores the Road to the Isles taking a look at the 1930’s hydro-electric power scheme, Whisky distilling, Glenfinnan Station Museum and Mallaig fish processing. All the while we see the West Highland Extension from the passenger’s point of view as well as from a helicopter flying overhead.
There is plenty of steam action on board the B1’s footplate, dozens of runbys and, of course, the stunning aerial shots to show us Britain’s most scenic railway in all its majesty from the air. Written and produced by Video 125’s Peter Middleton this is a film not to be missed.
