The latest version of the Drivers' eye view wishlist is now available.

Welsh Highland Railway now in stock

Our latest release, a Driver’s eye view of the Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon to Porthmadog is now in stock on DVD and Blu-ray disc, and available to download.

Filmed on board Beyer Garratt steam loco number 138 from the trackside and from a helicopter flying overhead, this is the narrow gauge line as never seen before. This DEV gives a better view of the scenic line running through Snowdonia National Park than the driver himself. Filmed during the glorious summer of 2013.

Narrated by Arfon Haines Davies, running time is 111 minutes.

NEWS PAGE up and running at last

After many months of little activity due to a harmful virus that took down our website and forum as well as our news page, I am glad to announce that we are back up and running with this new safe format researched and developed by our own Paul (Nicepaul),

So thanks to Paul, I am now able to actively write and update this column on a regular basis, when there is something relevant to say. I have no...

Steam memories

We are looking at the possibility of making a film, recording for posterity the views, working practices and any anecdotes or stories of those railway men or women who worked on the national railway network in steam days.

If you or anybody you know might like to appear on camera in this potential film, please contact us either in writing or email. Tell us a little about what you did and where you...

Blu-ray players for £45

Currys in the UK is offering the LG BD125 (ironic model number) on line for just £45 including vat.

We have not tested this particular model but the manufacturer is well
respected and the specification allows you to play (and even upscale) all
your existing DVDs as well as enabling the playback of full blu-ray HD discs
from the likes of Video 125 and others.

If you have a large flat panel TV set,...

Welsh Highland Driver's eye view

We are just finishing off our next DEV. The Welsh Highland Railway, our
first narrow gauge steam DEV since the Ffestiniog some 20 years ago!

This time we are in full high definition. Filmed during the summer of 2013
and narrated by our old friend (not so much of the old I hear him say) Arfon
Haines Davies - who just happened to narrate our Ffestiniog and Conwy DEV
all those years ago, and of course...
